Doubts about the website
According to Cyberpiece and Autobot Infosec, the SBI’s alleged fake website has been found to be recording information without any verification. This website is not registered by SBI but by a third party. This has raised suspicions about fake websites. Moreover, according to SBI, the bank never communicates with its customers via SMS or e-mail. In particular, the bank never uses both of these mediums to obtain customer account information. The fake website is asking for name, mobile number, e-mail, e-mail password and date of birth. After providing this information, the website is taking the concerned customer to ‘Thank You Page’. According to Cyberpiece, the domain of this website is in India and it is in Tamil Nadu.
