Deputy Minister Tuyen said this at Online conference with 63 provinces/cities on the progress of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. 9/8 pm. He emphasized that “even organizations and individuals that voluntarily support the cost, the units that organize vaccination are not accepted”.

“The organization of vaccination does not create a request – give mechanism, and it is strictly forbidden to be negative in the vaccination organization. Heads of agencies, units and authorities at all levels must bear the main responsibility for prevention work. epidemics including vaccination against Covid-19,” said the deputy minister.

Mr. Tuyen said that over the past time, the Ministry of Health has allocated over 18 million doses of vaccine to institutes and localities to deploy vaccination. However, in some localities, the injection progress is slow compared to the allocated amount, such as Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Tra Vinh, Binh Duong, Hau Giang, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Tien Giang, and Thanh Hoa.

The Deputy Minister asked all localities and units to speed up the vaccination schedule, not to wait or choose; but when the vaccine is on the way, it will be injected in that batch, “so that we can step by step ensure herd immunity”.

The unit injects vaccines with a low rate compared to the allocated number of vaccines, the Ministry of Health will announce on the mass media for people to know, monitor and supervise. The Ministry of Health proactively transferred those vaccines to other units and localities with high injection rates and fast injection rates.

“At that time, the Ministry of Health will not exchange back, but base on the remaining data to transfer. The view is to give priority to vaccines for Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities with epidemics”, Mr. Tuyen said.

The Ministry of Health requires provinces and cities to approve the master plan on vaccination by July 30. However, until today, there are still localities that say that the province will not approve until August 5. The Deputy Minister requested localities to review and approve before August 15.

Localities arrange both fixed and mobile injection points, as many injection points as possible, avoiding the fact that some places receive tens of thousands of doses of vaccine but do not complete the injection for a whole week. At the same time, there is no limit to the number of injectors in one injection site.

“Inject as much as possible. One injection point is not necessarily only 100 doses a day but can be up to 200-300 or more, but must ensure compliance with anti-epidemic and vaccination safety, against negative in the vaccination,” said the deputy minister.

Regarding the transport of vaccines, Mr. Tuyen said that right after the allocation decision of the Ministry of Health and the vaccine was delivered to the warehouse, it was requested within 5 days by the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, the Western Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology. Nguyen and the Pasteur Institutes must supply to the localities. If more than 5 days, localities shall immediately report to the Ministry of Health.

“We have agreed with the leadership of the Ministry of National Defense that vaccines from the warehouses of the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and Pasteur Institutes will be transported by the provincial military command in coordination with the Ministry of Health to deliver the vaccine to the locality. Therefore, localities do not worry about transporting vaccines,” Tuyen said.

After 5 months of vaccination, by the end of August 8, the country had injected more than 9.4 million doses, of which 8,458,225 people received 1 dose of vaccine and 967,400 people received 2 full doses of vaccine.
