In the segment of auto parts and accessories, domestic enterprises in June 2021 imported 469 million USD, down 2.2% compared to May. The origin of auto parts and accessories is mainly from Korea. $113 million, Thailand $103 million, China $86 million, Japan $67 million, Indonesia $19.3 million and India $18.6 million. Components and spare parts from these countries account for about 82% of the total import value.
Since the beginning of the year, the import value of auto parts and components has reached USD 2.63 billion, up 64%, equivalent to an increase of USD 1 billion compared to the first 6 months of 2020. Combined with the total import value of CBU cars, types and components, auto parts reached $4.46 billion, up 77%, or nearly $2 billion over the same period last year.
