Reliance Jio can provide even better facilities to its customers in the 800 MHz band by using additional spectrum in Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and Mumbai. In these three circles, Reliance Jio will have a total of 7.5 MHz of additional spectrum. According to Geo, the agreement is in line with the spectrum trade guidelines issued by the Department of Telecommunications.

Airtel has also reaffirmed the agreement in a different way. Geo will provide Rs 1,037.6 crore to provide additional spectrum to the company. In addition, Geo will pay Rs 459 crore later on spectrum. Which depends on the agreement related partnership. According to the company, the deal will see Geo transfer 3.75 MHz in Andhra Pradesh, 1.25 MHz in Delhi and 2.50 MHz in Mumbai to use Airtel’s 800 MHz spectrum. According to Geo, the new spectrum will further strengthen Reliance Geo’s network capabilities.

Geo recently bought spectrum worth Rs 57,100 crore
Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Jio had made the highest bid for spectrum sales in early March. The company has bought 488.35 MHz of spectrum in the 800 MHz, 1800 MHz and 2300 MHz bands for Rs 57,100 crore.
